while on a boat ride to the middle of the ocean. Get ready to spot sperm and blue whales, false orcas, spinner and bottle-nose dolphins during this excursion. Whilst this tour may take
approx. 3 - 5 hours, there's a 98% chance of spotting of Blue Whales swimming freely in the ocean.
Whale watching season runs from November - April in the South Coast and May - September in the East Coast.

A visit to "World's End"
Would you like to visit the World's End? If you’re intrigued, keep reading! The Horton Plains National Park is covered by mountain grassland and cloud forest and will lead you to World's End. This hill at an altitude of 2,100–2,300 meters (6,900–7,500 ft.), is quite like the African Savannah. The National Park is stunning, offering a realm that is uniquely set apart from any other area of Sri Lanka. The Horton Plains National Park is rich in biodiversity and many endemic species and plants are found in this region.
The Park forms a hill which is 2000m high, covered by wild grasslands and sprinkled with bits of thick forest, rocky lands, breathtaking waterfalls and misty lakes. The plateau’s sudden end is famously known as ‘World’s End’, with a 880 m descent.

MEF’s aim is to constantly develop the care, safeguarding and treatment of captive elephants in Sri Lanka by providing a refuge with appropriate amenities and facilities. Also, don't forget to visit the on-site museum which showcases the history between Sri Lanka and its elephants.

Your host will show you some of the most important ingredients and flavours in traditional Sri Lankan cooking and offer a guided explanation. Afterwards, feast on fresh, authentic Sri Lankan rice and curry, served on either a lotus or banana leaf.
